Apathy
So I seem to have hit a snag.
Most of the people who made my guild fun have left for raiding guilds. Some still remain (and one good friend recently reinstated his account), but it’s not the bustling happy fun place it was a year or even just a few months ago.
In the past, after losing a bunch of members I’d start a one-man recruiting drive and bring in a bunch of lower level characters. Some of them would leave, some would log out never to log back in again, but there would always be a few that would become friends, allies, and officers.
But I really don’t feel like doing that right now.
I’m going to try to take a break from worrying about <Fortune Favors> for a while. This might make me a bad GM, but if I can pull it off it will be good for my mental health.
I’m going to do some runs that help friends and family, and I’m going to spend some time on an alt or two. The hunter in the picture above is one such alt, created just this week on the Uldaman realm. No vent, no guild, no heirlooms, just him and his crab named Proxy (the cat in he pic is from the pet training quest – the only cat for me is the ghostsaber, tyvm).
Let’s see how this goes.

I hear you. I’ve had three guilds now that have died after losing their key players. It really sucks the fun out of what you’ve been doing sometimes.
I think a break sounds like a great idea. Good luck with the hunter, and may the ghostsaber spawn quickly.
