Not all helms are created equal.
January 19th, 2009Sad, but true. I think my duid’s new hat is much, much better than my paladin’s new helm.
This opinion is not based on stats, of course. Stat-wise the new pally helm rocks. No, in this case I’m being totally superficial here and basing my opinion on looks alone. It’s a shame, really, as I simply love the look of most of the gear I’ve encountered so far in Northrend.
Splat used to have some pretty awesome goggles – good enough that I never saw a drop in Kara that was better healadin gear. Even lasted a good way through Wrath’s content, in fact, until her new helm of ugliness +5 dropped. Unfortunately I’ll have to wait for patch 3.0.8 for the new holy paladin goggles to become available, since Blizz apparently, uh, forgot to put them in when Wrath came out. Or something like that.
And my wife tells me the hat makes Elumi look like a character out of a certain video. Eh, I don’t see the resemblance.
