Well, first post, anyway. Bear with me here – I’m still setting things up and trying to focus on the backend before I make the comic site look pretty.
You could always go play a game while you wait…
Today’s comic is the first new one I’ve made since October of last year.
It’s also the first comic I’ve made using GIMP rather than Photoshop. I like GIMP a lot, but I’m still adjusting to the learning curve. I expect to be better at it as time goes on.
I think I’m going to try to update the comic every Friday. I have enough new material for maybe a month of four frame comics that way, which should give me enough time to make even more new ones before that buffer runs out.
Let’s see how it goes.
I’ve got more comics lined up in the cue, but I’m not afraid of accepting ideas from others. If you have an idea for a great Fortune Favors comic, email me. If I use it, I’ll be sure to give you credit.
This will NOT be replacing my current “steal all my art from Blizzard” style, but it isn’t a bad idea. Of course they’re new, so their user interface isn’t the best. We’ll see where it goes from here.
And yes, before anyone says something, I’m very much aware that the Fel Reaver gag in today’s strip has been done before, then again, and even again.
I suppose you could even say it’s been (*snicker*) beaten into the ground.
But as that gag is only 1/4 of my creation, I consider it to be more of [...]
True story.
I think I like playing with Bitstrips.
But then, I’m very tired right now. Good night.
… for me.
When I started playing WoW I found I had an affinity for the healing classes. Sure, it’s fun to be on top of the damage meter, but being party healbot has its own challenges that I enjoy more.
Unfortunately, priests tend to be squishy.
Combine that with their tendency to generate massive amounts of threat [...]
Mike Mearls is an enterprising individual came up with a chart that answers a question as profound as “What is the sound of one hand clapping?” and “If a tree falls on a mime, does anyone care?”
His question? “What would kobolds do if they (*gasp*) actually defeated a player?”
My thanks to the Arcane Geek [...]
Tomorrow’s comic will be posted later in the afternoon. The script is done but I haven’t even managed to PLAY WoW in the past 2 days, so it’s going to be a while before I get the images that I need.
Y’see, there’s this thing called “real life”…
