I've know you for quite some time Splat. The one thing I have learned as an Ex-GM and an Officer of most of the guilds I've been in, things go wrong. You can't take it personal no matter what happens. I know that this post is late but I felt I needed to interject a bit. In BC, I brought you guys with DBL into raids needing extra heals and DPS not knowing that from that I would form lasting friendships with some of your members but from what I have learned through association is that everyone from your guild that I have run with and gotten to know is good hearted. You do what you feel is right in your hearts and you treat people with respect and kindness. Misfortune falls on us all from time to time and you can't let it get you down or make you think that you are a bad leader. A true leader can survive the good and the bad and pick himself and his followers back up again. Through these trials and tribulations we truly find out who our friends and loyal confidants are.

On another note, social guilds are very much different from raiding guild. A raiding guild is structured so that it is mandatory to attend just about every raid to remain in the guild. Levels lower then max are restricted to alts and the schedule is normally very demanding. A social guild however gives its members the liberty to do what they want. Forming an allegiance with another guild in order to raid is great however, you need to have a few that will be dedicated to the raiding schedule you implement in order to be able to constantly raid and having a few standby in case of someone not being in attendence. It took me 6 months in BC to find/gear people to form a solid raid grp for every week.

Don't get discouraged when you find that your guild is having trouble. Think of it as an obstacle to overcome and that you will overcome it. There is no reason to bash yourself for what happens because I know and everyone around you knows you are doing the best job you can.
