While Fortune Favors started off with members in each of these ranks, this ranking system is a meritocracy. That means that management doesn’t care what level you are, how old you are, what class you play, or any of those variables.
What matters is that you set a good example for others, both inside and outside the guild. If you’re a generally helpful individual who behaves in a responsible manner, you may very well work your way up and become an officer.
On to the ranks…
Newest rank, added to stem the tide of a growing number of bank ninjas. New members are under probation for one week, then promoted to Not Prepared. If we forget to promote you after one week, remind us. Probationary members can talk in guild chat but that’s about it.
Basic entry level position. These members may participate in the guild chat channel and sometimes invite new guild members. They can also access the first guild bank tab, which mostly contains bags, tabards, and items level 1 through 16.
Position for members who have shown a willingness to become more involved in guild activities. At a bare minimum, that means registering on the forum. (With some exceptions given to charter members.) And yes, if a probationary member registers on the site they will be promoted to this rank when their 1 week probation ends.
These members may also edit their own notes in the guild tab in the social window and withdraw items and money from the first two guild bank tabs, which mostly include items up to level 32.
Position for “Charter Members,” originally people who signed the charter or joined the guild within 24 hours of its formation. “Prepared” members can become “Well Prepared” by taking active, helpful roles in the guild and showing maturity equal to if not beyond their years.
These members can edit their notes in the guild tab in the social window as well as invite new members into the guild. They may also withdraw more items and money from the first 4 guild bank tabs. (Yes, promotions to this rank give you access to TWO new tabs, not just one!) This mostly includes items up to level 48 (tab 3) and 64 (tab 4).
The highest rank a guild member can achieve. Officers can do almost anything that the Guild Master can do, including invitations, promotions, demotions, booting, participating in the officer chat channel, and so on. They also have access to all the guild bank tabs, with items up to level 80.
Due to the level of power allotted to officers, this position is only given to a select few individuals.
That being said, it is possible that certain “Well Prepared” members may become officers in the not too distant future. The Guild Master is constantly looking for members that are officer material. When he feels you’re ready, he will ask you.
This position has been filled. Sorry.
