Writers Wanted
I’m looking for ways to bring more traffic to the site (that’s a fancy way of saying I want more guild members to read announcements here), and one of the best ways to do that is to include more content on a more regular basis. To that end, I’m looking for a few good writers.
Interested? Here’s the guidelines:
Send a short-ish WoW related essay to splat [at] myguildhome.com. We’re talking less than 1,000 words here. These are blog posts, not research reports. (The key is quality, not quantity.)- Exactly how the essay relates to Warcraft is up to you. It can be an opinion piece, machinima review, tips for leveling your favorite class, whatever.
- It does, however, need to adhere to Blizzard’s TOS as well as our own guild’s rules. Foul language and obscene or lewd content might have their place on the internet, but not here.
- Accompanying illustrations/screen captures are fine, encouraged even, so long as they adhere to the above standards and can be republished here. Blizz gives permission for screen caps to be used, but other copyrighted images are often a no-no.
- You do not need to be an active member of Fortune Favors to submit a sample writing, but it does help.
