Yes, we’re still around.  In fact, if you follow the Twitter account we’ve been recording almost every week.  The problem is that Splat is a bit distracted by too many things, so the shows weren’t getting edited and uploaded.

Get AdBlock Plus for Firefox (it’s free) and subscribe to a filter (I picked “Fanboy’s Annoyances”) to get rid of them.  I personally don’t mind pre-roll, but overlapping someone’s stream frequently without even letting them know they should pause so information isn’t missed is darned annoying.

Doran had been suffering for weeks. The Druid he was traveling with had gone into germination season. Doran had tried all the remedies. Lochradish, hanging upside down, even eating chocolate covered bees. His last hope was the gnomish physician. “Ah, you’ve got a plug and serious pressure in there. Do a good session of rhinotillexis, but don’t follow up with automucophagy.” “Rhino whats its, auto whose it’s? Speak bloody common for light sake.” Doran exclaimed.  The gnome sighed. “It’s a failing with your entire race. Not Precise. Pick your nose, but don’t eat it.” the gnome said matter of factly.

“Orphans Like Cookies too!”  - Stormwind Cooking Daily

The King has requested that a special batch of cookies be baked & shipped over to the Orphanage.   Robby Flay however ran out of Confectioner’s Sugar & needs for you to get him some.  They are found in the General stores or Inns inside of Stormwind.  You will find them upstairs in the cooking areas & downstairs of the cooking areas on top of crates, on the floor, & even the vendors close by there might have 1 or 2 you can buy for like 8- 10 silver each (rep discount does apply I believe). Once you have collected 4 bags of Confectioner’s Sugar, you then return to Robby Flay to hand them into him & to collect your quest reward.

*Stormi:   Storminights is Lvl 85 & has been doing Guild Runs for gear!  =)  Hunter is now lvl 70.  I’ve reported so many glitches & errors this week it’s been NUTS!!  Had player problems in dungeons & such.  Had players see it’s a guild run & then they go *poof* on us & we have to reque again.  MayJeannette is now 40, Dorathea is now 41, Seitzinger is now 24 or 25.  too many alt’s Leveled this week.  Only 1 is below 20 atm.  I made a Dwarf Shaman Narvia & she is now lvl 12 I think.  I have like 15 alt’s
*Splat: Hasn’t been playing much. Also, laryngitis.
*Medros: Has another 85. Also, running a business and planning a wedding.

“The Sister’s Pendant”
Astaia, the Fishing Trainer in Darnassus, wants you to fish for a Giant Catfish in the waters of Darnassus to find which one has gobbled up Aquinne’s Moon Pendant.  Apparently Astaia & Aquinne grew up together in Dalanaar & Aquinne has come to Darnassus now to further her studies in the Temple of the Moon.  So they decided to go for a boat ride one day but their boat capsizes & when the 2 girls got back to shore Aquinne noticed her pendant was gone.

Ok, so this week we had done guild runs & had some lower lvl toons come along with us.  One run we had a Shaman Draenei Healer who was 84 when we started.  He Hit lvl 85 halfway through & said Good bye & Good Luck I’m going to Heroics now & left group.  I made sure to let him know I was a Podcaster who does stories on WoW & this guy asks “What’s a Podcaster”, so there are still lots of people out there who have no clue on what a Podcast is.

So, with the most recent episode blaming Technowing for issues that delayed its release, he has apparently once again asserted his wrath both the RSS feed and mp3 file are horribly borked.  It is an issue that needs to be resolved, but there is not a solution immediately available.

In other news, Splat’s voice is toast thanks to a particularly long (but productive) day at school.  It’s an ongoing hazard that teachers encounter, and that he’s managed to survive this long speaks for the endurance of his vocal chords – only teenage girls and Leo Laporte could have done better, we’re sure.

As a result, there will be no live show this evening while some healing takes place.  Sorry about that.

The young boy stood, transfixed by the scene laid out in front of him.

Here he was, atop one of the taller peaks in Nagrand.  To the north, clefthoof.  To the South, the Twisting Nether.  Directly below, earth elementals.

“Wow, mister, it was real nice of you to bring me here for Children’s Week and all, but isn’t it getting late?  We should probably be heading back to the Orphanage.  … Mister?”

The boy turned to see the dwarf adventurer holding a small stone, his hands glowing with a strange green energy.

“Sorry, kid – it’s for the achievement.”

Poof.

New Darnassus Daily cooking Quest: Remembering the Ancestors has you go into the Temple of the Moon & get some Blessed Rice cakes.  Those Blessed Rice cakes are on that table in the Temple of the moon as soon as you walk in there straight ahead.  Close by where the Portal to the Dark Portal & the Portal to the Exodar & the Portal Trainer.  You grab those Blessed Rice Cakes & take them to, well what I have always known  as Darnassus’ Grave Yard.  There is a shrine there at the grave yard called the Shrine of the Ancestors.  That shrine will have an ? over it & that’s where you hand it in.

Greg woke up with a pounding in his head.  He did not expect the newly created concoction of mountain pool water, grain, and a very small piece of dividing green goo to cause such effects.  Greg stumbled to his indoor railstop, not checking thoroughly for creatures of the night.  He was good to ride. Zooming off the starting block he was suddenly thrown off the rails.  Had he hit something?  Greg got off the cart to see a larger form than a sheep or cow behind him.  As he leaned his head in, he was able to make out “ssssSSSSSS!”

The priest, with his unkempt robes and hair, yelled from atop a crate at passers by who did their best to ignore him.

IronForge Cooking Daily

“I Need to Cask a Favor”
Basically Daryl wants you to go to Kharanos to the Brewery there to pick up a Cask of Drugan’s IPA (IronForge Pale Ale) & bring it back to him.  It’s pretty simple to get there if you have the Flight Path.  Once you pick up the IPA Cask, you will get what looks like the green Brewfest Hat on your head & your character will start running.  It really is a Beer Run!  Your character will start running but you have to control the directions it takes, so no going aft for this quest unless you wanna see something bad happen.  You have to run it all the way back to Daryl inside IF.

The drumming in the Jungle had been going on for months.  What started as an occasional pulsing became louder and more thunderous with each passing day.  The cows were no longer lying down in their pastures and the children were unable to sleep.  Messengers had been sent out only to return with news of canoes moving back and forth between the elven lands to the far north and the jungles of Stranglethorne to the south. Marcus swore that he would hire a priest to lay holy mines around his property to prevent the incipient attack of the voodoo laden trolls.

With the dawning of a new day Samuel climbed down from his perch among the stars.  He slipped down the ladder, something that had never occurred before.  He wrote it off to having  too many cooked pork chops after returning from his excursion in the nether.  He saw gathered around his front door, a cluster of strange creatures.  They walked on four legs like pigs but had grey skin and a large upraised tail.  “Surely these could not harm me” he thought. Little did he know that on the setting of the sun that day, his viewpoint would have changed.

The door to the inn burst open, and Crashbang limped to the nearest table.

His Gnomeregan tabard was torn and filthy.  His helm, once immaculate, was dented severely with a few of the spikes broken off.  Clearly, it was a good thing he hadn’t worn his goggles.  The rest of his armor was covered in a mix of mud, leaves, twigs, and what appeared to be large quantities of saliva.

“Had some trouble, I assume?” asked Sionetha.

Crashbang gave the human warrior a look that spoke of rage overcome with weariness.

“Next time, it’s YOUR turn to walk the worgen.”

Darnassus New Cooking & Fishing dailies are UP & working!!  [The Secret to Perfect Kimchi] where you find 8 [Buried Kimchi Jar]’s & the Fishing [Happy as a Clam Digger] where you go to Rut’theran Village & go swimming in the water until you gather 10 [Teldrassil Clam]’s.   It was rather nice to be one of the only 2 or 3 people actually doing these new cooking & fishing quests, however, you gotta pick & choose which cooking & fishing quests you take.  I did the ones in SW on my lvl 32 Mage & couldn’t grab Darnassus’ so it’s one of those types.  I was hoping it would be where you could actually go to the cities & maybe earn more cooking points & fishing points, but nope, not happening.

IronForge New cooking daily today was [A Round for the Guards] where “Daryl Riknussun” the <Cooking Trainer> inside “The Bronze Kettle” in the circle of the Great Forge gives you some Ironforge Rations to hand out to 6 guards.  Pretty sweet & easy & I LOVE what the guards say when you hand them their food.

Ironforge Fishing Daily is in the Forlorn Caverns inside IF.  You will find “Grimnur Stonebrand” <Fishing Trainer> Standing next to “Squirky” The Murloc on the porch into the “Traveling Fisherman”.  [Cold Water Fishing] was today’s daily where he sends you to Helm’s Bed Lake in Dun Morogh which is the lake with the water Elementals & Ice Tombs.  He has you fish up 5 [Artic Char].  It’s ok for the higher levels & they didn’t seem to bother my 29 Paladin that much being they were only level 8-10 mobs there.  I could 1 shot them easy with Exorcisim no problems there.

“Craggle Wobbletop” is a gnome Vender who wanders the sidewalks along the Canals in SW.  He sells a lot of the stuff from the toy shop in Dalaran!  Oh dear Azeroth is doomed.  They brought the trains to SW!!

It looks like a nice day to go for a flight.
She takes her flight form & away she goes.

She looks down to see the ground below her just whisk by.
She then sees a gnome in a fight.

She swoops down to see that the gnome is almost dead.

“Heals are coming, hang on.” She says.
She manages to heal up the Gnome to finish off his fight.

“Thank you kindly”  Crashbang says.
“Sure, it was nothing.  Just glad I could help.”

Ellias takes her flight form & flies away into the sky above.

It seemed as if they’d been fighting forever, but the Earthen of Deepholm continued – as stubborn as the ground on which they stood, and with good reason – the trogg menace showed as much weakness as they did.

But wait, what was that?  A strange flying contraption swooped down from above!

Was this newcomer here to turn the tide of the battle?

That hope was dashed when the gnome pilot rushed over to a nearby vein of obsidium, dug up as much as he could carry, and flew off into the distance.

In his wake, the battle went on.

Gramps quietly put on his armor and picked up his mace.

He wasn’t really a grandfather – not anymore – but the younger paladins called him that anyway.

Once, he’d been a soldier.  He’d fought in the Second War, and fought well.

Once, he’d been a priest.  After his wife had died he’d been content to spend is remaining years studying old books and looking for enlightenment.

Once, he’d been a father. Until some light-blasted cultists convinced his son to die in a misguided assault on Stormwind.

Now, he was a paladin.  And it was time to crack some heads.

“A death of many in the village below the bluff was disturbing, though the deaths on top of the bluffs were cause for alarm.  The elder’s deliberate destruction of our way of life was the first on the path to our new home here in the Stone Talon Mountains. Why would our kinsfolk and boon companions drive us from the ancestral grounds? Our small settlement to be attacked repeatedly by centaurs and the roving minions of Warchief Hellscream, only to have the true enemy, humans to extend their five fingered hands in friendship. Our future appears to be looking up.

What we’ve been doing in-game

*Stormi:  Got my Hunter Stormiskies up to lvl 50 this AM actually.  I’ve been spending a lot of time on her as well as spending time on Zaella trying to get her the Glory to the Hero Achievement for the Wrath Heroic Dungeons as well as trying to lvl her to 85.  She’s about 25% atm, I think.

*Splat: In Minecraft, playing on gargamel – fun looking world, but having trouble with monster traps (Monsters aren’t spawning).  In Warcraft, Crashbang is 82 and continuing to failtank.

Bob stood, bored and motionless.

He had served at this post for as long as he could remember.  Unflinching, unchanging, never taking a sick day.  Every now and then some coworkers would walk past on patrol.

Suddenly there was a sound like an explosion followed by the screams of the dying. He turned to see a small gnome tossing bombs and slashing at survivors with his axe. Behind him stood others, obviously too weak to have made it here on their own.

The new guard stood, bored and motionless.  In the distance, there was the faint sound of an explosion.

What we’ve been doing in-game
*Stormi:  Stormi not so much on Stormi.  Got some Raid achievements for the guild.  Got my Hunter from 23 up to 36 & she’s now almost 37 just this week alone.  Had to take breaks tho’ while playing her.  Had lag issues a lot only on my hunter.  Tho’, I tamed Humar, Dishu, Echeyakee, Ironback, Pogeyan, Ghost Saber, ……  I also got my warrior Zaella to 83 & she’s over ½ to 84.
*Splat: Expanded Mumble server to 15 – it’s been getting some use!  Crashbang is 80! Hunter is taming things! Paladin … is still a bank alt! But that could change! Maybe!

Utter silence, cold & fear.

Not more of what I want for myself.

I see a piece of gear that could be an upgrade for me.
I wait to see who rolls need or greed.
I see someone say Need & then I often don’t.
I’ve probably passed up the best gear possible so someone else could have their chance.

*Stormi:  Stormi finished up all of Uldum.  Storminights is still lvl 72.  Zaella is now lvl 82.  Stormiskies is now lvl 22 & just got Ashtail (rare spawn from Loch Modan) the Fox (Blue-ish grey color Fox).  So now SS has Ashtail & Bjarn (White bear from Dun Morogh, also a Rare Spawn).  Also I have Recently started a NE Mage.  I got her to I think lvl 12.

This wasn’t right.  It just wasn’t.

In front of Crashbang, Drakuru stood in the small cage.

No one else seemed to mind that this agent of the scourge, the betrayer of Zul’Drak and former lord of Voltarus was here, alive and seemingly captured by an incompetent band of adventurers at Granite Springs.

The gnome stared, wondering how someone decapitated by the Lich King himself could come back – not into undeath, as so many of the Scourge did, but to life.

“I told you to finish the quests here first before heading into Zul’Drak,” Stormi leaned over and whispered.
