Goodbye Minecraft World 1

This video documents the changes I made to a world, including both things I liked and things I … could have done better. It was also meant to test out Quicktime’s screen recording capabilities.

You wake up in a pile of sand, with no memory of how you got there.

You can’t help but think of how cliché it is to wake up in a strange location with no memory, but then without any memory you’re not quite sure why that is.

Regardless, the weather seems to be quite nice.  Your jeans and solid color t-shirt seem to be just enough to make you feel comfortable, if perhaps just a tad bit on the chilly side, in the early morning air.

The sun is rising rapidly in the East, where you can make out some sand dunes mixed in among some grassy areas and a few trees.

The North is very much like the East, but with no trees and … are those cacti you see in the distance?

To the West, the sand abruptly ends and is replaced with rolling hills covered with trees.

To the South there is a little sand, but mostly hills and trees.  In this direction you can see a sharp edge where the hill you’re apparently on slopes downward and out of view.

What do you do?

((Seriously, I’m going to let the comments decide what happens next.  Yes, this is based on a world created in Minecraft.  No, I’m not going to stick verbatim to what I find in the game.  You may encounter more or less than what I find in this world, but the “canon” of this story will be based on the choices suggested in the comments.))

To Do List

As with any new endeavor, there’s a lot for us to accomplish before we can even say we’ve started.  Here’s our current “To Do” list:

  1. Make “To Do” list DONE!

There should be something cool here.

In fact there will be, but we’re just getting started.  Come back in a day or two and it’ll be awesome.
